- I'm a gardener, mother and an artist living in upstate New York. My favorite media to use is oil. I also work with watercolors, gouache, charcoal, pastels and watercolor pencils. On occasion I use acrylic paints. Nature is my best teacher. I love to paint hearts, bugs I see in the garden, flowers and abstracts. I also love to paint celestial and Halloween themes. All of the art I sell is original. I sell no prints.

Right now we had the full moon
ReplyDeletethese past nights. It was lovely
watching the pale yellow moon in
the dark sky.
On your painting the halfmoon/sun
has an interesting ornament on its
forehead. It looks like the jewels
Indian ladies are wearing on their
foreheads: sparkling sapphires,
rubies and emeralds.

ReplyDeleteI don't know why, but for some reason everytime I have painted the sun and the moon I always felt a need to decorate the forhead in some way, maybe because this is where our third eye is.
I do not remember the full moon here this last time. I am sure we have had it. I believe the harvest moon will be the next full moon.
